Commissions for horse and pet portraits

Due to increasing mobility problems, I now only work with coloured pencils. As you can see from the photograph, they give a wonderful quality to the painting. All portraits are finished with a fixative spray to ensure fastness, but it is recomended that the portraits are framed behind glass to give extra protection.

Kizzy's Dog

I work from photographs but will occasionally visit the horse or pet if local to me (North Devon). I can then take my own photos. (This is free of charge, of course).

When choosing photos remember that to produce a quality portrait for you I need to have as much detail as possible, I can only paint what I can see!

(More information on photographs here)

How to proceed:

  • In your email, explain a little about your pet (age etc), what size portrait you require, and send your photo(s) as an attachment.

  • Alternatively, after initial contact you can send your photos by the post, these will be returned with finished portrait.

  • If I accept your comission, I will invoice you via PayPal for your deposit.

  • I then begin on the work - please give me approx 3 - 6 weeks from start to finish.

  •  I will then email you a photo of the finished work, for your approval. Once you accept it, I then send an invoice for the balance, and on recieving this, your portrait will be posted by recorded post. (Approx £4.00)

Please read terms before contacting me.
